1994 Oldsmobile 98

Last year my car stopped on me and everyone assumed it was the engine, In April of 2010 I had someone come and take a look at it. They cut my pulley and it started right up, he stated that it need to have the "condition such and such fixed" (I'm unsure of the name and have lost the paper work so I hope you know what it is, because I just remembered "conditioning" anyhow.) This fixed the starting up problem but now it's cutting off on me while driving after so many miles. I seem to only be able to drive it so long before my, Traction light comes on and my care starts to shake and acts as if it wants to cut off, from there I usually have to push the gas and speed home. Recently it completely died on me, I ended up getting a jump and had someone take a look at it. I informed them that it could possibly be the crank shaft since I searched the internet to try and figure out what it could be since everyone else wasn't sure what it was and this is what kept being repeated through out my search. They do not believe its the crank shaft due to them stating that the crank shaft wouldn't allow me to get so far if it was bad. I believe that whatever it is, it is located by my traction light or affliated with the traction light, because before every cut off of my car, this light comes on and then my car starts acting up. The light goes off and my car is fine. I have recently fixed the fuel pump, filter, gotten a new battery and have also replaced the starter due to the starter being broken in two places, and im unsure as if the braking of the starter was due to the problem that i'm having with my car. But nothing has worked to keep my car moving. Please verify what this could be, I do apologies for any misspelled words but please help me before I junk a car that could only have something simple to fix on it, every one tells me I have a good engine, so I'm so confused on what I should do at this point. Also tonight I was told that it could be the oxygen sensor that could be playing a part in the cutting off of my car.

Also, I wanted to inform you of other things that you may be able to help me tell if its normal or what it may be that needs fixing as well. When turning the car off, I hear a noise that someone has stated as my car rebooting itself, but I can hear my car doing this same noise through out the day even on the days that I dont drive it. Or the fact that my car blows out hot air but I've notice that one side of my car heat is hot and I may find that the other side is cool/cold.

It's pretty clear that this isn't going to be something that you are able to fix yourself with your very limited understanding so why don't you just bring it to a shop and let them determine what you need. A wild guess is that you A/C compressor froze up and they cut the belt off. You could be experiencing a dead battery now because there is no belt on the alternator but I really have no idea from your very vague explanation.
