Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Oldsmobile 98 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles

I have been trying to get someone to tell me what is really wrong with my car and what it will take to fix it. I know i have a bad oil pump but one person says i need a new one which will be 400$ plus 5 hours of labor and online i can find oil pump repair kits for my car for 50$. I just want to know if i need a new pump or not and if i do where do i get it? Someone help me please~

To find out if its the oil pump get a mechanical gauge and read off the pressure at idle and 2K rpms-and comeback with the readings
