1993 Oldsmobile 88 broken rod

I Just bought a '93 Oldsmobile 88R, but it has a few problems. I know that it has a bad power steering pump. But there is also a rod on the bottom of the car by the right front tire. When you turn the car to the right you hear a knocking sound. Could you please tell me what that rod is called.

If both wheels steer when you turn the steering wheel then the rod is the stalizer bar. If bith wheels do not turn then it is a tie rod.
