Speed Sensor location

Engine Mechanical problem 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 60000 miles

My speedometer quit working. I am assuming the speed sensor has gone bad. I need to know the location of this unit so I can replace it. I have also see 2 different kinds so I'm not 100% sure what I should be looking for.
Any help is appreciated

The vehicle speed sensor is in the transmission here is a diagram (below).
