Electrical problem
1984 Oldsmobile 88 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150k+ miles

My steering wheel was saging, loose causing me to lift up on it to start the car. I tighten the wheel now it won't start. I saw a program once where this type of problem was wear and tear on something in the steering colunm?

Ok how did you tighten it? The problem is that your tilt part needs to be fixed that is deep in the column or go to a salvage yard and buy a column that is already tight. When the tilt gets loose it will shaffe the wires sometimes so you will need to look and see if anything looks freyed other wise you may need to adjust the ingition switch at the bottom of the column that the rod goes too.
