1970 Oldsmobile 88 carburator

While my engine is running, there is a popping noise coming from my carburator. I have an exaust leak but this noise should'nt be happening. True? Whats my problem?

When was the last tune-up?

Could be a rich or lean A/F mixture, ignition timing, sparkplugs with wrong heat range overall carb problem. Double check all your ignition components
