Estimate to repair leaking oil pump was $1,300.00. Not worth it for a 1998 car. Leaks one quart in about 30 miles. I have tried various products: SealLube and Oil Boost. Have cut leaking in about a half, but no further. Any ideas for "miracle additives"? Thank you.

Hello,

When there is excessive leaking like what you are experiencing, none of the additives will work.
Those additives are typically for small or slow leaks.

The best course of action would be to replace the leaking components. If you are able to, doing it yourself will save some money.

I have attached the replacement procedure below for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
