Changed the crank (new) main/ rod bearings, oil pump and screen. Changed the oil sensor on the engine, running 10W-40 in 192,000 in 1996 Chevy S-10 Pick-up 2.2. It still will show at cold start, about 70-80 p.s.i. , then run around 20 p.s.i. then sudden stop or idle at 5 p.s.i.,/red line- with the "check gauges" light on ! I have used a manual gauge and it shows the same on the cold start and warm up ! This has gotten worse since the main and rod bearing change. There are NO engine noises, no power loss, no oil loss.....just this drop in p.s.i. when oil heats up/sudden stop combo. This is beyond anything I can figure out or can find concrete info on ??
