Cranks up in the morning oil pressure gauge does nothing. 5 to 10 minutes later is runs where it should. Could it be pick up tube? No knocking sounds.

Hello,

No. If it were the pickup tube that was malfunctioning it would be a constant malfunction and your vehicle's engine would have seized up. The problem is probably with the oil sending unit that sends the signal to the gauge. In the diagrams down below I have included a description of the location of the engine sensors, including the oil sending unit, and a guide to the specified torque value of tightening the oil pressure sending unit.
Please replace the oil pressure sending unit and get back to us with how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex
