My oil pan has been diagnosed as leaking by my mechanic. I know it needs to be resealed and this is the approximate mileage that it needs to be done. My question is, how long does Honda bond last in comparison to a regular rubber gasket? And what is the approximate cost estimate for labor only? I cannot get under the car anymore so I just taking it in to my buddy/mechanic so he can host the car up and drop the pan.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

The sealant used today seems to last longer than a typical replacement gasket. As far as the labor, the book calls for 2.5 hours.

Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions.
