Recently changed the oil on my car did everything really well. Only problem I do not have the car manual so I was not too sure exactly how many quarts it took. I took a guess and put exactly four quarts of synthetic only later to find out through research that it takes exactly three quarts. On my dipstick it is above the full line, would an over fill of one quart be a big deal? I have already driven the car and it seems to run fine but I am a still a bit paranoid from my rookie mistake. Should I bother to drain it again soon?

Good morning.

The best thing to do is to remove the oil filter and drain all the oil out of it and then reinstall. That will drop the level to about half quart overfull and that is good.
