we went to do a oil change and had a rubber line was loose. I would like to know why this line was loose?

I would have to know what line it is to have any idea as to why it was loose. In general, it could be that it's supposed to be loose. Or it could be something that was left a little bit loose, and then it got more loose as the truck was driven around, with the engine vibrating slightly and the truck going over bumps constantly.
