The oil light comes on when my car is at a light and goes off after I start back driving. Also, my Traction light comes on a little after I start driving and causes the car to have no power. It's hard to accelerate up to 60 MPH or higher. And once it gets up to that speed and I take my feet off the gas it jerks. I recently had a new timing chain replacement. What could be wrong? Hi,

It sounds like you have two unrelated issues. My first concern is the oil light. At an idle, the oil pressure is at its lowest. When the light is on, have you ever noticed any knocking or ticking from the engine?

What I suspect is happening is the oil pressure switch is leaking or faulty. The problem is its location. It is under the intake manifold. By chance, have you noticed any leaks under the vehicle or any odors that could indicate an oil leak?

As far as the traction light, that is most likely a faulty wheel speed sensor. However, we really should focus on the oil pressure concern first.

Let me know.

Joe
