Oil leak

Sudden oil leak. Recently purchased and driven just a few days. Today 2 miles from the house oil light comes on and smell oil burning. No recent oil change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

First check and correct the oil level of your engine, low oil level can damage the engine, it sounds like oil leaking from the valve covers to exhaust manifold that makes that smell. check visually, if you detect any oil traces then valve cover gasket must be replaced.

check the picture below, remove the valve cover by loosening and removing outer 2 screws, it comes out replace the gasket.
