Oil leaking at the bottom of the gearbox

There are some oil leaks at the bottom of the gearbox which seems to be leaking from the axle seal on the passenger side CV axle. Also there are some oil leak at the shifter linkage where it meets the gearbox.

Also what sensor is this above the gearbox below the intake manifold? It seems to be wet around the sensor.

Hi,

It's somewhat hard for me to see the sensor. However, I suspect you are referring to the vehicle speed sensor. Take a look at pic 1 and let me know if that looks like what you see.

Next, the gearbox can be leaking simply from the gasket where the casing is connected. And yes, there are axle seals on the transmission.

Here is what I suggest: Use a good degreaser and pressure wash the areas that are wet. Then, drive the vehicle to see where the leak is starting.
