rear main seal and oil is leaking after putting 4 quarts of oil?

My dad replace the rear main seal and oil is leaking after putting 4 quarts of oil, only 2 quarts came out. He said the oil came from around the cv axle area as to where the oil was pouring out like water he said. This is the second time taking apart the transmission and seeing where the leak is coming from. He just wants to see if you know where the oil is coming from since it came out very fast, he had just put it together. He said the seal is dry and plate is dry, he wants to know where the oil could be coming out from. If anybody knows, please reach back out. Thanks

You are right the seal looks dry, but it sounds like the oil is getting pumped out. I would check the oil filter because it could have a double O ring which will make it leak bad, also check the oil pressure sender and oil drain plug. Please go over this guide which can help:
