While driving or at a stop or after shutting off there is a leak that is a very thick stream coming down from the area near the oil filter? Need some good advice. Thanks

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Are you certain it isn't the filter? Also, most times the oil pressure switch is near the filter. Check that also. However, if this is a 3.9L the switch is on the rear top of the engine. Have you checked valve covers to see if they are leaking?

Let me know.

Good afternoon,

It sounds like it is leaking under pressure. The one spot that it could be is the oil pressure switch.

Hey Joe, thanks for you quick response. I checked the filter it was rather tight, it is the 3.9 so I do not know if the oil switch is still a possibility, my oil pressure always runs on near last tic mark. The valve cover gaskets could probably be changed, I just didn't think it would leak like a sieve from that?
