I changed my oil two weeks ago and noticed a leak. I then went to put more oil in my car for some reason left hood up started car and saw oil gushing out of filter. I changed the filter again and no luck still leaking. Please help me I have not much money just need it fixed as inexpensive as possible.
Oil is leaking out of the filter after I change it three times not just a little oil a lot of oil.

Thanks Elizabeth

The oil filter has a rubber seal ring to keep oil from leaking out. Either the ring came off of the new filter before you got the filter on, or the old seal from the previous oil filter is stuck on there and has to be pulled off by hand. Either way, the most you will have to spend is the cost of a new filter and maybe another quart of oil.

Good luck and let us know.

Not it, I double checked to see if it was the seal. I did change it three times. The filter is on right the ring is on only one and still just flowing out. Can it be switch or something else? Please.

Can you get a video of what you are talking about and upload it here to the site so we can see? There is an o-ring that seals the cartridge to the lid did you replace it?

Here is a diagrams (below).

Please let us know.

Cheers, Ken

The only other thing that I can think of is you are using the wrong size filter, or you are not tightening it enough. Which filter are you using?
