About three months ago, my air compressor on my car went bad. So now I am getting my air compressor installed tomorrow. I went on a vacation about a month ago. But before I left I noticed that the antifreeze coolant was leaking. I went to the mechanic and got it checked. My mechanic only change the thermostat and the leaking stopped for a little while. But then a few days passed and it started leaking again, and I open up the top to pour in the antifreeze solution. I opened up the top from where the antifreeze coolant is connected to the radiator and I noticed that there was a grayish goo on it and cleaned it up. I am not sure if it is the motor oil. I have checked online to see what the problem might be but I am not sure if it is the head gasket that has gone bad or if it is the transmission air coolant that needs to be replaced.

That goo could simply be from the air that would have entered the system as it leaked. Air and newer coolants can do strange things.

Your Jeep has the transmission cooler built in the AC condenser not the radiator, it can only leak to the air not into the coolant.

Thanks for the advice. But do you know why might car might leak antifreeze from where I pour it in? I had my new air compressor installed but there is antifreeze leaking when the car is left alone without driving.

Was it leaking before the new AC compressor was installed? When it is parked where does it seem to have the leak? Up front by the radiator? At one side or the other of the engine?

If it is leaking out of the filler neck area it could be a bad cap or cracked tank.
