I pulled the oil dipstick out and the tube came with it. can i fix this?

if the tube did not break at block clean the block area hole with choke cleaner/brake clean, also the tube, get some blue locktite and put on tube then reinstall into block. put dipstick in and wait a day before removing dipstick.
