The rubber hose on my oil cooler lines are leaking. My question is, can I cut the lines and replace just the hose or do I have to replace the whole line? Thanks!

Personally, I have replaced the whole cooler line itself when it was leaking. However, I have seen people do what you are suggesting and they are not complaining. Just be sure that the clamps that use hose that can withstand the pressure and also make sure that the clamps that you use are very tight. Otherwise if it pops off while you are driving, you could have a serious issue. Those lines are under pressure and it would not take more than a few seconds for you to be out of oil.

Also, the hoses that you buy would have to have a large enough diameter to fit over the old ones. Probably over an inch diameter.
