Oil consumption/oil burning

I am considering buying a used the vehicle listed above. I have read these motors can consume oil at a rate of one quart/3000 miles. Has this issue been fixed for the 2017 model year or is it still a problem?

Good morning,

One quart every 3,000 miles is average. The industry average is one quart every 1,000 miles.

They make this claim based on warranty. They will not repair it for free unless the consumption is below the 1,000 mile.

In most cases, it is piston rings that are the issue.
