About 10 days ago I got an oil change light on my dash, I was waiting until I got paid (today) to get an oil change. On my way to work this morning the car just stopped. Like I pushed the gas all the way down and it wouldn't go. I turned the car off, waited for a second, and started the car. It got to work but I am wondering if this is because it needs an oil change or if it is something else. Also, will the car make it to get an oil change after work?

Hi,

A service indicator such as a change oil soon light won't turn the engine off. Before you leave work, check the oil level and make sure it is in the safe range.

As far as today's issue, was there any knocking or ticking from the engine? Did it start right back up after it stalled? Is the check engine light staying on while the engine is running?

Let me know.

Take care,

joe
