Oil and filter change

Can I change filter after I put oil in? I had to wait to get a filter and used old one I now have new filter to install.

Good morning,

As long as you did not start the motor, yes.

If you run the motor, change the oil and filter again to be sure all the dirt and debris are out of the system.
