Oil changed to different viscosity

I usually take my car to the same dealership for its services and oil changes but they are closed due to COVID 19. I found another Honda dealership that is open. My car is used to getting 5w30 oil but the new dealership uses 0w20. My question is, will it hurt my car to use the 0w20?

Thank you!

It will not hurt it because if you have the 1.8L or the 2.4L it calls for the 0W20. It is the synthetic oil for that engine. The 5W-30 is okay but I would stick with what the OEM calls for on the engine.

Let me know if you have questions and we can go from there. Thanks

From the service information I can find the Civic should have 0W20 in all of the available engines, not the 5W30 you have been getting. Did the other dealer give a reason why they ran the 5W30 in it?
