I'm disappointed in myself for allowing this to happen, but my subaru outback ran out of oil, we only noticed this after the emergency and battery light turned on and the car just sounds different. The car starts fine and will still drive, but we aren't driving it. What could it be? Can it be saved?

hav the oil pressure check manually that will tell a lot but have a local pro do it so he can give his opinion. If it doesn't' knock or tap loud it may be able to be saved . or worse case another engine or rebuild that one
