I see the valve cover on top, but the plugs do not sit into the cover, they sit on the side. So how can the wells have oil in them?

Hi,

If you are getting oil around the spark plugs, chances are the oil is leaking from the valve cover/cylinder head cover.

I attached a pic below of your engine. I highlighted where to check for an oil leak. I suspect it is leaking at the gasket, which is right above the spark plugs, and then it runs down to where the spark plugs are located.

Check this and let me know what you find.

Take care,

joe
