What do you recommend for a scanner that can access live data for like the graph for 02 sensors, battery life, coils, spark plugs, air bags, fuel trim, etc., and that can program keys for the SAAB? And, since I have other makes and models of vehicles, to be compatible with them as well.

Hello,

Depending on how much you want to spend there are many good scanners in the market.
For a decent entry level scanner Foxwell NT301 is a very good one at less than $70.00. This is a favorite one for most DIYers. Covers typical live data for all the functions. Can't go wrong for the price.

For bit more money you can get a Innova 5610 cost around $330.00. This will cover just about anything you want to scan from ABS to transmission to SRS and provides detailed data. This one sees quite a bit of use in the shop environment.

Both of these can do all OBDII vehicles.

Any questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

I don't believe that will program keys. Typically, any scanner with key programming function that can cover multi brand runs close to $1,000.00 or more.

My vehicle had a check engine light on. It goes on and off sporadically. What could this mean?

It sounds like an intermittent issue that in certain condition exists. Best step would be to get it scanned while the light is illuminated. The code(s) can help determine what could be the issue.

Hey Imaging. Thanks for getting a new post started for this. Glad SQM helped you out on this. He is quickly becoming one of our best.

If you need more help on the check engine light, let's get another one started for that as well.

Keep in mind this is not only here to help you but others that visit in the future and have the same issue as you do.

So, they won't find specific check engine questions under this heading.

I know this is not convenient but you have good questions so we want to make sure all can find them and benefit from your solutions.

Thanks again.
