I cannot pass or fail the emission test cause they cannot get my car to read. All the monitors say unsupported. This car has always passed before. Nothing new has been added. The check engine light is even on, however when I plug in my hand scanner it says there are no codes?

So your scanner communicates but theirs did not? It sounds like you need to go to a different smog shop.

Am I correct or reading it wrong?

Sorry, My scanner turns on but as you can see, everything is unsupported. Check engine light is on, so I assume the ECM is working.

It does not seem to be communication like the ECM is bad does it run okay? May be some of the ALDL connector wires have a short or open circuit.

Here is a guide and a wiring diagram so we can do some simple testing:

Make sure all the wires work test at the connector.

Fun to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
