I have several OBD1 Ford cars. [I also have an OBD1 GM car and for it an ADLC serial port adapter that can monitor sensor values, very useful for tuning TPS and setting RPM.
Is there any equivalent way of connecting a Ford OBD1 port to a commodity computer or smart phone app to monitor things and interpret any trouble codes?
My car listed above flashes an airbag light. It also seems to have these OBD1 ports at multiple locations including within the trunk and on each fender wall.
My favorite mechanic's old favorite Snap-On tool used to be able to read things from the driver fender wall, but he might not have had the firmware modules for reading anything from the other connectors.
I'd like to know more about these connector ports and what is possible to achieve.
