Using OBD1, assume properly connected and rechecked and retested more than once giving the same result, which is: Check engine blinks about every 1/2 second. No longer pauses, just blinks until ignition is turned off. What does this type of result indicate?

Thanks,

Hi,

A constant flashing when testing for codes indicates there are none stored. That is usually an indicator of a mechanical fault and not an electrical one.

What is the truck doing?

Also, here is a link that explains how to test for codes on this truck. Confirm this is what you are doing.
