OBD port not communicating with scanner

Hi, the OBD port in my vehicle will not connect. I've tried several different scanners. Same result.i can move it around sometimes and it will come on but not long enough to get a reading.

I've run into that a few times. It's basically that the connectors in the port are loose. Usually, you can kind of put some pressure on it to hold it in place and run the scanner with your free hand. Otherwise the only way I can think of to fix that would be to replace the port.

I can't find directions on replacing the connector or I'd post them. And I'd bet it's the kind of part that you have to go to the local u-pull-it to find.

Unfortunately I don't have any other tips or tricks for you.
