I recently replaced my PCM. It arrived pre-programmed. Has been fine for about 3 months. Today check engine light came on and my reader gave code P2198?

Should I just change the O2 sensor or could the PCM replacement be part of the issue?

That code indicates the sensor isn't switching and is staying rich. While it could be a bad sensor it can also be a short or open in the harness. Easiest way to tell would be to use a scan tool that can see the live data from the sensors and see what it is reading, then disconnect the sensor, The reading should change if it's the sensor. No change would mean the issue is in the harness. Doubtful it's the PCM as it is showing the error.
