I have a Hiace 3L turbo.
I am trying to find the position of the OBD socket and what type of OBD it is to allow me to use a scanner/code reader.

Yours is an obd1 system. We do not have your model in US so I am giving you where location is on a Camry you must do E1-T1 to activate mil light on dash and count flashes for code it will be a two digit code. However, we may not have that code here as yours is a turbo.

Thank you for your reply, I have been searching further and found the OBD1 socket, I then went on the web and found a site called-codes. Rennacs, they have a diagram of my OBD1 socket and they call it-connector eighteen year range-1990 to 2000. Will your instructions for linking out pins-E1-T1 still apply for getting the codes?
