O2 sensor Bank 2 top

Getting a P0430 code was going to change both o2 sensors on driver side. How do you get to the plug for the top o2 sensor? Dose the motor have to be moved access it?

What does the scan tool show for the sensors actual operating operating voltages and switching speed, both upstream and downstream? If it is actually a bad O2 you should be seeing O2 codes more than the catalytic converter code.

As for getting to them. It is tight but you do not need to move the engine.

Well the scan tool I used to read the code is an inexpensive one. Not sure it can read that or do not know how. It is a CEN-TECH CAN OBDII. If you can recommend one that is affordable I can get another, but this is the only code it shows.

Just read up on that tool. It should show the O2 data.
Read the manual to find out how to read the live data. Then you can select all four sensors and watch them as they switch. If they look like they are covering similar ranges then the sensors should be fine.

This covers some testing. In your case the scan tool should be able to see the voltage through the diagnostic system. In normal use the voltage will bounce a lot. It may say .155 the .455 then .200 as the PCM cycles lean/rich trying to keep the mixture correct.
What you do not want to see is a sensor that stays at a constant voltage or changes very slow.
