A code came up on my car for 02 sensor that said bank 1 sensor 2. I'm wondering how to know which one is correct when I look it up on Napa, O'Reilly's, etc to buy. And also how difficult will this be to replace? Thank you much

Hello Jessica, you will be happy to know that this isn't going to be difficult for you to replace at all. If you can get under your car safer and know how to turn a wrench then your going to be just fine. The attachment shows you exactly what you are going to see lying on your back underneath your car. Safety is your best friend and you will need to use your best friend in lifting one side of your car with a jack and placing a solid object like a big block of wood or a jack stand and lower the car onto it. Now with the car in the air slide underneath and find the o2 sensor circled in the attached photo. Take a wrench the same size as the sensor and loosen the sensor a bit and unplug it. Then finish unscrewing it all the way out. Installing the new one might require a special wrench available at any auto parts store to rent for free!! Hope this helps !

Hello,

Bank 1 Sensor 2 refers to the Oxygen sensor that is after the catalytic converter.
Here is a basic guide to replace a Oxygen sensor:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-an-oxygen-sensor

See attached for the diagram that shows the location of the bank 1 sensor 2.

Any questions please let us know.

Thank you.

Hello, I'm Danny.

I've attached a picture below of the factory Hyundai Bank 1 Sensor 2 part number. When you go to any of your local auto parts stores just use this number to have them cross reference their aftermarket store brand sensor for you. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
