Overdrive light blinking

Overdrive light flashing, shifting hard. No overdrive. Had codes ran have a PO775 code pressure control solenoid B. Auto parts store said this item is inside of transmission so costly fix. Is that correct?

Good afternoon,

The 775 is an internal issue with the transmission. There is nothing external or electrical for this issue. The only thing you could try is changing the oil/filter in the transmission to raise the pump pressure.

Below are charts for the checks to verify the failure. I would have someone do these checks before assuming it is a bad transmission.
