i have own my truck for four months never had a problem, today i had a CD/NAV/DVD all in one unit installed in my truck and when picked it up they did not hook the clock back up. they never hooked the air conditioner back up. they never hooked my hazard blinkers back up. they were young apprentices the boss man told me they were still learning. so when i got in my truck after all the apologizes from the boss man i tried to start my truck and there was nothing, no click, no nothing, they ended up taping the starter solenoid and it started. now every time i turn over truck of today i have to tap to start it. i think it is funny that i got it done today and this has now this happened. is there anything they could have buggered like a starter relay or anything?

it may have messed up the security system call this clown up and tell him he is either going to fix it correctly with people that know what they are doing or you are going to have a real mechanic fix it and he will foot the bill. this should not happen just getting a radio installed when there are plug in adapters for this type of thing.

If tapping on the starter makes the car start, then that is a pretty solid indication of a bad starter.
If they are electrically jumping the starter to bypass the ignition, then you have a problem elsewhere.
