Not turning over or making sounds

Hello,

Sounds like it could be the starter relay or the solenoid.
Check the relay under the hood in the battery junction box (see attached diagram).
If the relay is bad it will stop the power from getting to the starter solenoid and engage the starter.
If the solenoid is bad, it will get power but will not trigger the starter.
See if the clicking noise is coming from the relay or the solenoid.

You can also test the starter as well to make sure if it is the issue. You can bench test is by simply connecting to a 12V power source. You can also have it tested at your local parts store.

Honestly I have no idea what you just responded with. Is that the fuse box I am supposed to be looking at?

Just to jump in on this. yes, the relay is in the fuse box and needs to be checked using this guide and the location of the relay that SQM provided.

However, if you are not sure how to do this testing then let's listen for a click noise from the starter when you are turning the key. If there is no click noise then the relay is most likely the issue. This is not definitive as it could still be a starter issue and not click but I would suggest using this if you are not sure how to test this.

I am terrible at cars, but when we had it attached through jumper cables it would click but not start.

Okay. If it will not click at all but then when you put jumper cables on it, it does click then the battery has completely drained.

Worst case, you can remove the battery and take it to a parts store and then will test it for you and sell you a replacement if it fails.

The clicking didn't last long.

Okay. That is most likely due to the battery being so drained that it eventually does not have enough voltage to click the solenoid either.
