My van's idle is fine and I rev it up fine, but when I put it in gear it engages but it wont move. I tried stepping on the gas but it barely moved. It acts like it is lacking power. What would be the problem?

You might have a transmission issue. If you can try to see if any transmission codes are present.

The transmission is in two gears at once, Cycle the ignition key five times on and off, this should reset the transmission. If it happens again the transmission is having problems and will need to be rebuilt.

Let me know what happens please, Ken

If the trans is stuck in 2nd gear it is in limp mode and if it is the intermittent concern so I clean the key will set it back to normal. Yes it could have an internal trans issue, it also could be from a sensor or wiring issue
