It could be.
Be safe, steering is an important part of a 'driving experience'.
At minimum and soon have it looked at by an alignment shop (my suggestion since steering and suspension is their thing).
Even if you want to make a repair yourself.
Many alignment shops will look it over and tell you what is wrong (and maybe give an estimate), if you plan on DIY, let them know before hand that you need to scrape up the money or you don't have the time to address it at the time.
From that assessment make your decision what you need to do.
