Not starting

Turn key to on position everything on dash starts clicking then slowly shuts off. Sometimes it starts right other times I get this.

Check battery for condition including load test most places do for free. Batteries are normally only good for about four years, keeping terminal ends clean helps extend their life.

So went to mechanic today replaced connectors to battery. Then truck would just crank but not turn over theft light was flashing really fast said key was going bad? Finally got it started and works fine so far taking it to dealership Saturday.

Try a security system reset, see link. that may be why it did not start right away due to battery disconnect. See link.
