fuel pressure regulator?

engine turns over while firing but will not start. steady stream of gas coming from exhaust manifold. gas in oil as well.

Check the fuel pressure regulator. It sounds like it has failed and is dumping gas into the engine. It looks like this image. Pull the vacuum line off, if there is gas in the line the regulator has failed.

Pull the plugs out and dry them (or replace them if they are due), change the oil and filter (use cheap oil as you will want to change it again as soon as you get the engine to start).
