Have you checked to make sure you are getting both spark and fuel to the engine? Was the timing chain replaced due to it not starting or was it replaced prior to the problem?
As far as the engine running, you need four things, correct timing, spark to the plugs, proper fuel pressure, and compression. One of those thing is causing the issue.
With that, do me a favor. See if it starts for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls again, it is a fuel related issue. If it still fails to start, then it's one of the other three things. I would start by testing for spark at this point.

Also, let me know if the crankshaft position sensor was already replaced. If you have a live data scanner, check to see if there is an RPM signal when cranking the engine.
