Its like it's not getting any gas. You have to try starting 2 or 3 times with the gas pedal pressed to the floor. Almost like there is air in the fuel lines.

When it starts is there black smoke coming out of the tail pipe? Usually when you need to press the throttle to the floor the problem is too much fuel, like you have a leaky fuel injector. Does it start okay in the morning only, also do you have a check engine light on?

If you remove the spark plugs and can see what is going on, either too much fuel or not enough, please upload an image of the plugs once they have been removed, don't mix them up so we can see if it is a particular cylinder having the problem.

This guide can help as well:

Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

No it's not starting okay anytime. It's like it's not getting any gas. We replaced the valve cover gasket and since then we've had this problem.

Okay, you must have the vacuum line or the electrical connector to the MAP sensor off or it is not sealed well. Please recheck your work and let's run the codes to see if any are stored.

Here is the location of the sensor so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
