Transmission not shifting properly?

The car was purchased needing repairs. After an engine swap, the car drives good at cruise speed in high gear, but the automatic transmission does not shift through the gears properly. The fluid level is good and the TCM fuse is good.

Hi,

What is happening? Does it feel like it is starting in the wrong gear or is it just not shifting?

Also, you should scan the can-bus to see if there are any codes related to the issue. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.
