Grandma's truck one day it worked fine start back home and it wouldn't shift out of second gear. Got home and changed all the solenoids in the pan and now it won't come out of first gear. do you have any suggestions? I've checked all the fuses and everything says it's working. changde the fluid and all when I was in it paying and there was a little dark stuck in the bottom of it not much, but there was no metal flex or anything like that. Can you please tell me why it's not shifting? thank you.

Hi,

If I had to guess, I would say the governor pressure sensor/solenoid has failed. What you need to do is get your hands on a scanner that can read transmission (TCM) codes. I have a feeling you will get a P1763 or P1764.

I attached a pic of the sensor and solenoid below. When you had things apart, is there any chance you could have damaged wiring to it?

Let me know.
