not kickin off

when i mash down on accelerator i am not picking up speed until i use the overdrive ....i did a diagnostic test on engine and transmission ....every thing showed up in good condition .....i did a general tune up of my car and till no progress........pls help thank you......

Are you sure it is overdrive that you feel the power in? Is this an automatic transmission?
