Not keeping a charge

Replaced the alternator and the battery is a good. one battery cable's a clean and look to be in good condition, but it is not keeping a charge this is after the battery was removed and a different one put in and the car overheating as the battery died.

Hello,

Well, if your vehicle has a bad battery cable, that is probably the cause of the problem. Replace the battery cable and get back to mus with how everything turns out.
