Not getting fire to sparks plugs, cranks will not start

The most common cause of a spark loss is the crankshaft position sensor. Take a look through these links:

The best thing to do, if you can, is get your hands on a live data scanner. When it is plugged in, crank the engine and check to see if you have an RPM signal. If there is no signal, the sensor is where I would start. Also, while the scanner is attached, check for diagnostic trouble codes.

The crankshaft sensor is located on the driver side of the vehicle, above the differential housing. The bottom of the sensor sits above the drive plate.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Unlock and disconnect electrical connector from crankshaft position sensor.

3. Remove sensor mounting screw. Remove sensor.
